Rsi Markandeya recorded as the spiritual leader of the first set of Java travel in Bali. Travel search inner purity and balance of nature and place of Hindu religious order pole on the south slope of Mount Agung is now known as the Pura Besakih. Basukian Temple is believed to be the first milestone with their followers Rsi Markandeya Bali as a land ensuring the goal of building a spiritual value.<br />

How sustainable, the order of spiritual life coincided with simultaneous governance in Bali. The Kingdom of Warmadewa Dynasty mentioned in various ancient texts is very supportive of religious survival of the culture and local customs that invite the arrival of spiritual leaders and the land of Java. The arrival of Professor Kuturan on 11th century sektar certainly capable of glue fabric of local communities living with Hinduism order brought from Java. Order with the concept of traditional village parhyangan as the personification of God in the Tri Murti function is an effort to accommodate the local concept of union with the Hindu concept.<br />
<br />
Continuing spiritual journey made by leaders of the Hindu religion of Java. The unification of Archipelago by the Majapahit is the culmination of the journey and the transformation of religion and local culture with Hindu culture. In the course of time, Bali and its people then live their daily lives with the administration, religion, art, and unique culture. The uniqueness of this later, in about the year 1579, the attention of a Dutchman named Cornelis de Houtman who travel to Indonesia in search of spices. Fertile soil, agriculture and cultural uniqueness of people in daily living was a major concern for the expedition de Houtman.<br />
<br />
Together with Indonesia, which is known as a producer of spices, Bali has become a popular world of the cultural side. Dutch mastery of Indonesia was at about age 17 and 18 is not much influence on religious life and culture in Bali. Hinduism in Bali at that time and even into the heyday of the kingdom in Bali headquartered in Gelgel and then transferred to Smarapura (Klungkung). Early 20th century, then occupied by the Dutch Bali marked the fall of the Kingdom of Klungkung Klungkung Puputan War through 1908.<br />
Facility Tours<br />
<br />
Since the acquisition by the Dutch, Bali seemed wide open for a stranger's visit. Bali is not only the arrival of foreigners as tourists but no less the observer and cultural penekun came to record the uniqueness of Balinese culture and art. From the cultural penekun consisting of writers, authors, and this is the uniqueness of Balinese painters increasingly spread in the international world. Submission of information through various media by foreigners were able to attract travelers to visit Bali. Admiration for land and to inspire interest Bali strangers gave the title to Bali. The Island of Gods, The Island of Paradise, The Island of Thousand Temples, The Morning of the World, and various other praise names.<br />
<br />
1930, in the heart of Denpasar, built a hotel to accommodate the arrival of tourists at that time. Bali Hotel, a colonial architectural style buildings, a milestone in the history of Bali tourism until now these buildings are still solid in the original style. Not only was visited by tourists, ambassadors from the village of Balinese arts Peliatan cultural visit to several countries in Europe and America indirectly, that visit as well as introducing the existence of Bali as a tourist destination well worth a visit.<br />
<br />
Tourism activities, which began to blossom when he was, had stopped due to World War II between the years 1942-1945 which was followed by an increasingly bitter struggle for independence struggle of Indonesia, including what happened in Bali until the year 1949. Mid 50's decade Balinese tourism reorganized and in 1963 built Hotel Bali Beach (The Grand Bali Beach Hotel) at Sanur beach with a ten-story building. This hotel is the only tour that shaped residential high-rise residential facilities while tourism (hotels, home stay, pensions) that developed later only a one-story building. In the mid decades of the 70th Balinese local government issued a regulation governing the area maximum building height of 15 meters. This determination is determined by considering the cultural factors and traditional spatial Bali so Bali is still a cultural values that can be tourism leading sector.<br />
<br />
With certainty, since the operation of Hotel Bali Beach in November 1966, construction of residential tourism facilities grew rapidly. In terms of quality, Sanur grew relatively better planned for alongside the Bali Beach Hotel Kuta Beach while the herd berkemabang naturally moves from the local residential models. Model homestay and pensions grow more dominant than the standard model of the hotel. Similarly, Kuta, Ubud area in Gianyar district developed naturally, grew up in houses that still survive in rural feel.<br />
<br />
Construction of residential facilities of international-class tourist finally began with the development of Nusa Dua area into an international tourist resort. Managed by Bali Tourism Developmnet Corporation, an agency of government formation, Nusa Dua area is developed to meet the needs of international tourism. Some hotel operators in Nusa Dua area as the investors who ultimately was able to increase tourism area development of Bali.<br />
<br />
Subsequent periods, tourism and residential facilities with very rapid growth in the residential center of tourism, especially in areas Badung, Denpasar and Gianyar. Pantai Kuta area, Jimbaran, and Seminyak into residential tourism in Badung regency, Sanur, and the central city to Denpasar area. Ubud, Kedewatan, Somerset West, and Terrace into a residential development of tourism in the region of Gianyar.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a>Controlling growth is very rapid, local government and establish Bali in Bali 15 area as a residential area following tourism supporting facilities such as restaurants and shopping centers. Up to now, Bali has more than 35,000 have the hotel rooms consist of class Virtual Library, Jasmine, up 5 Stars. Facility hotels are appearing in various forms ranging from a model home, standard hotels, villas, bungalows, and boutique hotels with price variations. This diversity gives more value to Bali because they offer many choices to the traveler.<br />
<br />
As a result of the development of tourist visits, various supporting facilities such as restaurants, art shop, art market, entertainment, and recreation is growing rapidly in residential centers or tourist attractions in the area. The travelers who visited Bali, finally had little choice in their vacation in Bali, tourism organizations such as the end PHRI (IHRA), ASITA, and other tourism organizations in Bali, which are professionally managed and provide tourism services, as if to give assurance to comfort of travel in Bali.(Adopted from Bali's govt. official web)Dwija Suastanahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06606855004171843370noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4411761846520111294.post-13856752040050424252009-11-03T21:26:00.000-08:002011-08-06T20:47:55.600-07:00Jakarta's Drowning, What about Denpasar?<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Capital city of Jakarta submerged by the floods became hot news last few days actually have become " the annual permanent agenda" the central government in Indonesia. However, amid the chill of the flood water, the warmer the news when the most powerful people in this republic, as RI 1 & 2, trapped and participate sprayed "grace" which is desired by the people of Gunung Kidul, Central Java. Moreover, such display Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta airport shut by the water has made hundreds of national and international flights have been postphoned even cancellation. Topographically, Capital of Jakarta is located in lowland areas that facilitate the activities disrupt flood metropolitan residents. Like a passenger ship, the Capital of Jakarta was laden with the burden, whether the social burden, the burden of construction, and even shed of mind.All burden on 'Si Pitung" origin . All kinds of loads are made Mother earth of Jakarta feeling so stress, then angry and finally she blew her anger by "crying".However, the affection, tears of Mother earth Jakarta so much that can not be accommodated by their "children" who are 'naughty'. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: blue;"><a name='more'></a><br />
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Denpasar to Learn </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Denpasar City as the center of all activities of the Balinese, in fact already experienced what happened to Jakarta on a regular basis, even the last to make a few people in the South Denpasar seek refuge in safe places. Topographically, the provincial capital of Bali is also located in lowland areas that are vulnerable to flooding attacks that could not help making Denpasar become regulars floods each year. This is exacerbated by not maximum utilization potential of the real effective Denpasar able to minimize the effects of excess rain water. Potential effective utilization is among delinquent riverd as "channel timur" of Denpasar, then the effectiveness of sewer / water lines in residential and office population. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The flow of water which divides river delinquent Denpasar - Badung flows from upstream thus flowing north to the area and then began convoy Mambal so entered Denpasar area. This is due to several factors, superficially in some watersheds (watersheds) that entered the city area due to activities in the socio-economic surroundings, such as the rapid growth of development in the city of Denpasar. To generate potential delinquent river as natural resources flood prevention, dredging, river dredging in the area that experienced shallow periodically needs to be done and this applies also to the children of the river or creek that is nearby. This activity did not need to pay if the city government of able to mobilize the participation of the citizens / villagers actively pekraman. Local government efforts during this temporary new one is even 'less political', while the much needed is a sustained effort involving all components of an active community. Another thing that needs attention is the physical project activity. Admittedly, rapid physical activity in the city of Denpasar is in the interest and needs of the citizens to the front. Physical projects such as loading plug water pipes, telephone cables or projects that we often hear the term of DSDP (Denpasar Sewerage Development Project) should really choose the right timing. Calendar project that is scheduled ahead of the rainy season have an impact on project quality was not optimal, so the potential for loading plug into a regular sight each year. Or maybe because the name of the project can we say "business"?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Pavement as an effort to beautify the city can be said as a "physical condition" of an area that can be said of a city as well as the main reason for the access of pedestrians. Almost most of the sidewalks in the city of Denpasar, built across the drain cover / good water channel in front of the residential population or in front of the offices. But, things happen routinely during the rainy season arrives, the pavement becomes ineffective even for making roads into rivers is not smooth due to sudden rain water into drains or waterways are covered by a concrete sidewalk. Associated with human mental Indonesia, often a small hole between the sidewalk was used as a garbage dump, thus adding to the suffering of the janitor when work hard with smooth channel under sidewalk drains. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
An Integrated Steps </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Handling the flood, especially in the city of Denpasar should involve all components of society without exception. Denpasar municipal government is taking the environment a central theme. If the mayor of Denpasar and its board know what to do to secure the implementation of this theme becomes evident in every beat-second pulse of Denpasar city residents. Denpasar city government should be recognized are attempts to overcome this social problem, nuanced programs existing environment must actually touch the recesses of consciousness of citizens. Strict sanctions for environmental crimes such as screen printing or waste waster household waste into the river should be no stale-stale. Citizens mental development of environmental significance should be instilled in the hearts of the citizens park early. Similarly, granting rewards for citizens in environmental competition expected to spur the community of Denpasar not to be lazy in droppings the care of the surrounding environment. The anniversary of Denpasar city is momentum of this year, may be a reflection of awareness of all members of the importance of environmental sustainability as an invaluable legacy for the next generation.<br />

As we already know, the role of water was so great in living life. Humans as part of the inhabitants of this universe, naturally made many efforts to conserve water, as the source of her present life and future. Specifically on the island of the gods, Bali, there has been distortion and erosion of moral & material resulting water resources in Bali is now in danger. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The universe is believed to contain 60% water content is more. Similarly human body contains more water. In the concept of micro-macro cosmos, <i>buana agung</i> and <i>buana alit</i>, the content of the universe and the human body is the same. If the human body occurs in an element of unbalance, these people certainly would fall sick. As a mankind in this world we have to thanks the God, how God gives us so gracious water and so abundant. There are sea water, rivers, springs, fountains, lakes, piped water, which are all made whether intentionally or not for the sake of residents living universe. Well,what about in Bali? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgYkaT_MRCaq-Xv_Vhr-deEI6w738P76rWyQtWQKyA_jB-LJw3hD1p1tIpYBRSbbHFjld15uOa-QKbmprcacDoDAEdw0zI2VFCqOcnFJ4I66-bDGHEwPmEFjE3i9NrFgg2jnlVPrpOudCS/s1600/Gitgit-008.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgYkaT_MRCaq-Xv_Vhr-deEI6w738P76rWyQtWQKyA_jB-LJw3hD1p1tIpYBRSbbHFjld15uOa-QKbmprcacDoDAEdw0zI2VFCqOcnFJ4I66-bDGHEwPmEFjE3i9NrFgg2jnlVPrpOudCS/s320/Gitgit-008.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The Balinese people is majority Hindu, where the use of water in the realm of the Hindu ritual is very dominant. In the Vedic scriptures it is mentioned that the water, flowers, fire, and leaves become the main means of worship of the Hindu temple in the implementation. Balinese Hindu communities usually get holy water from lakes, springs, fountains, and sea water. Usually the water sources are purified and made a special shrine and sacred. In the present context, it is evident, local wisdom with sources protect the springs in Bali is actually as environmental conservation efforts undertaken by the Balinese ancestors from ancient times. This local wisdom is implemented in a spiritual (ala Hindu Bali), with a shrine built around the springs of water are sacred. In the concept of Tri Murti (three manifestations of God; God is one with many functions), the god Vishnu as preserver, symbolized by the water. As in India, known for its sacred River Ganges, there society Goddess worship and glorify Gangga'sebagai "Mother" of water. Even in the ritual of "Surya Sewana" that every morning conducted by the "Pedanda" / Pastor in Bali, the temple of mantram "Yes Goddess Ganga Om Namah Swaha" always accompanied when The holy priest made the holy water. How great the role of water for the life of the Balinese ritual. So no reason and is not justified when the Balinese people and other people destroy the existing order of water in water use Bali.Whenever is to fulfill the primary and secondary needs of all people, should keep watching the balance of the ecosystem, and circle of life than water can be useful to keep for future generations. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
INVESTMENT IN WATER, WATER INVESTMENTS </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In recent years, many recorded by the mass media, both print and electronic what has happened efforts counter-productive to the water resources in Bali. For example, logging in forests wild Kintamani area, forest area of West Bali National Park (TNBB), Jembrana, "erectile dysfunction"-Batukaru Bedugul area with investments in tourism and housing, which is all that really so concerned about the impact future. We are certainly not allergic to the investment in all fields. Provided that all really concerned local wisdom and resources available. Likewise, communities & local government of Bali, should be really selective in selecting the incoming investors. At present, acknowledged or not, the master plan of regional development into the area Bali "gray", all is not clear and likely random. Why is that? Because as evidenced by the various cases that occurred lately that make us all concerned and "angry"! Just look, plan to develop tourism facilities on the lake Buyan (which I might refer to as an investment of TIME BOMB), how we look at all sides so blinded by jingling dollars, without thinking the future will be like what Bali is this? Buyan Lake is one of the water buffer for Bali as a whole, in addition to other lakes such as Lake Tamblingan, Lake Beratan and Lake Batur (If the lake "Tempe", No comment). In the upper reaches, the area around the lake,rivers, holding a very important role. This is a tough job to commit by Bali local government (province and district / city), the public and investors in an effort to maintain the water sources in Bali to remain stable. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
No less importantly, how the role of tourism stakeholders such as hotels, restaurants and other tourism services increased concern for the source of Balinese life is called the water. Author's experience when browsing the Ayung river (Gianyar) and Telaga Waja (Karangasem) with a rubber boat, how much has happened "ruse massive" conducted by the tourism component in the watershed are rivers, especially in the area of Ubud. Most of the construction of hotels & accommodation tour around the area waste clandestinely to the Ayung River! With the system drop by drop, waste RTH (hotels household) is pissed the Ayung river. What about the waste disposal system? This becomes a big question mark. Because not all tourist accommodation areas are equipped with an adequate system. In fact, there was one hotel that build villa just above the river Ayung.How we understand about river breach border.How is the permissions system? Why can be issued to a hotel? Now this is what needs to be questioned? Reasonably suspected, has occurred a black co-operation between authorities with tourism stakeholders in the area. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
EFFORT-SAVING EFFORTS </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Once again, the investments are very important, especially investment by the people livelihood. Lots of smart people, but rarely have people who understand. Local bureaucrats Bali Bali both provincial and district / city, no less an expert staff, S2, S3 and S4 are high altitude mountain of studies beyond the Great. but, that does not understand is their misunderstanding of what they do. Money has become the "Tri Murti; pemralina 'noble desire to preserve Bali. The solution is only one, mulat sarira. Snap! Environmental destruction time bomb in front of Bali's nose. Let's realized Urgently!</div>

Artistic life in Bali is recorded from the first ingrained in each of the joints of Balinese life. Art, so integrated in every breath of Balinese life until now and who knows how long. Clearly, the existence of art and culture in Bali proved to spread perfume all over the world. Bali so famous throughout the world. </div>

One of the great event that as an "umbrella" creativity of the Balinese art is one of Bali Art Festival (PKB). In the execution of every year, there is usually a central theme and sub theme that permeates the entire implementation. Usually held a variety of arts events, ranging from arts & cultural workshops, performances, seminars, parades and art of others. Participants are not restricted from Bali only. Not only other provinces in Indonesia who participated, even the participants also came from countries such as Thailand, China, South Korea, Japan, the United States, and others. </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
One of the interesting spectacle of this artist during a party rally was held is the art which is usually performed during the opening ceremony. What a frenzy of drummers, dancers and spectators crowd on the square bellows field Margarana Renon (Bajra Sandhi Monument Complex). Indeed, art is nicely mixed would be a great magnet in attracting people to come and participate. To scope of Bali, the role of campus organizations such as the ISI (Institut Seni Indonesia) so important. As an art institution, the ISI has been recognized emotion is very great role in supplying the people and the art products for Bali or national level. And it was recognized also by the activist art from other parts of the world. Amazingly, until they send their representatives to study at ISI Denpasar. </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
In addition to the parade of art, in this PKB, usually every night as scheduled, there are a variety of arts performances centered at Art Center Denpasar. Denpasar Cultural Park for nearly two decades to witness the grand event exhibited art and culture there. </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Stigma Abiding </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
There are several important notes that we should bear by local governments and the whole range of bali related. That image of PKB from year to year there is something that is difficult to change, namely, the impression that PKB is like a night market! Which often leaves issues such as congestion, garbage piling up, sellers of goods and services that are not orderly and the convenience and security of visitors . PKB impression is so strong the night market when seeing so many traders trying to earn a livelihood both within and outside the area of Art Center. Indeed, as the writer's observation of last year through the mass media, the traders had tried disciplined by placing them in los-los supplied. However, there are still piles of traders at some point. One idea to dilute the concentration of visitors and traders with shelter expanded parking lot, in some traditional villages such as Banjar Workshop, Sumerta Kelod, Around Nusa Indahstreet , etc., have been conducted with the utmost Pekraman Village and Sekehe Teruna. But still, do not solve the problem. One idea that never came out and worth a try is to rotate the implementation of PKB provinces to districts spread in Bali. With notes, financing is still from the province and the center while the district / city just as the organizer only. This is worth a try to imitate the implementation Porda (regional sports week) that rotate into the district to the district / city. Or if mapped, its implementation could be "attacked" for example, Buleleng District join with another district nearby, Bangli, Klungkung, Karangasem can join to become the host. Badung, Gianyar, Tabanan, Denpasar combined. Kalu a problem that this is done is between the district of Jembrana and Buleleng, which is quite far with the other districts in Bali. However, this can be tricked by specializing the implementation of this round of PKB in these two districts. This means that, at one time, in the two districts are held separately. </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Advantages </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
In quantity and quality of performing arts and the race will be a balanced competition between one district to district / city another. The economic side, there will be equitable distribution of money, not just stacked in Denpasar only. And most importantly, how government and community efforts to respect and consider the fate of the artist. Do not just satisfied when transporting these artists with cattle trucks and low paid. There should be allocation of sufficient funds in an effort to consider the life of the artist-an artist who is willing to do "ngayah" ongoing for a celebration of art and preserve the art itself. </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
HOPE </div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
May the Bali Art Festival every year can run well, smoothly and orderly, and work better than the previous years.</div>

<br />
Bali Island is an island that is very unique and so admired by people from all over the world. Imagine, the tourists come in droves to Bali to see the uniqueness of their Bali. Generally trip to Bali not to see the rise buildings, concrete or hard concrete. But, in Bali there was something different from the country, which obliged to be enjoyed . What's that? We certainly agree that the customs and culture of Bali became the backbone of Bali tourism pulse of nature than a thousand islands exotic temples. <br />
Balinese society since the days of Mpu Kuturan introdruced a system that called Tri Kahyangan This concepts of life is implemented in the social life in balinese traditional villages which is divided again in the concept of banjar banjar. This valuable concepts also the main pillars of Balinese society in sustaining cultural customs and inherited until now.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiedXTHgFdu3ZFvFP-E697Mlh9VkiK09j2ngRT8phgR1cTD5WycdkDBY2Dm5a2sTRmeFXTSH8VgbiJ469D0ZWqH-4ZeGxK_FCWYbEae3s8-Hc5qR3PPfSTIwn8NcN8AatNxWdpGsn08MPsx/s1600/bali-temples.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiedXTHgFdu3ZFvFP-E697Mlh9VkiK09j2ngRT8phgR1cTD5WycdkDBY2Dm5a2sTRmeFXTSH8VgbiJ469D0ZWqH-4ZeGxK_FCWYbEae3s8-Hc5qR3PPfSTIwn8NcN8AatNxWdpGsn08MPsx/s1600/bali-temples.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Undeniably, customs so pervasive in every joint lives of the Balinese. Pekraman village system in which there are three main elements, namely the Tri Hita Karana concept implemented in Tri Kahyangan, which includes three holy places, Pura Desa, Pura and Pura Dalem Puseh. Mpu Kuturan heritage that are so great, really become the main pillar of human life support Bali. Ngayah activities as part of the implementation of the concept of Tri Kahyangan, run by the village by Desa Pekraman. Desa,kala, patra in each village pekraman and usually arranged in the village awig-awig or rules of desa pekraman which is also known as local awig. Arrangements were equipped with such penalties for offenders. In the era of 80-under, agriculture becomes a source of income is the main Balinese Green rice fields that extend vast stretches from west to east and from south to north. In a certain area, a traditional Balinese irrigation system commonly known as Subak to function properly. Kerobokan Kuta area and now, was once the area is lush green rice fields as it gets a lot of water flow from the moment.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
So if we are nostalgic memory of the golden age of agriculture Bali.How about now? It's a tragic fact, that is not making this up, today's Bali layout is virtually in shambles, without a clear master plan. Each of these 'little kings' in the district / city, the wheels of government seem to run without the coordination of the province, proved by the mess of golf course development plans in the Besakih area, adjacent to the holy Besakih area and there are many other examples that reflect how local governments Bali should really do "mulat sarira", would be brought where this island?<br />
<br />
Balinese Traditional Village a Tough Castle <br />
<br />
In Bali, the existence of a real village in pekraman so encourage economic stability, social and cultural. <i>Desa Pekraman </i>order inherited from the time of Mpu Kuturan provide positive energy in the human gestures that used to Bali is a majority of farmers. <i>Desa Pekraman</i> order inherited from the time of Mpu Kuturan provide positive energy in the human gestures that used to Bali is a majority of farmers. Today, human mobility Bali gone very quickly, especially following the tourism boom since the late 80's era, people make Bali so dynamic and fast currents influenced Modernization. If used the Balinese many uneducated, now many of those who have undergraduate degrees, more of us moved to live in the city, for economic reasons or because of learning. If used the Balinese many uneducated, now many of those who have undergraduate degrees, more of us moved to live in the city, for economic reasons or because of learning. These things do not seem to be controlled in line with the times very quickly and globally. Balinese tendency to live in the city due to many factors, among others, all the facilities to meet the demands of modern life more in the city, could also be because of pride.No wonder, the ranking competition among the Balinese were economically spread everywhere, in cities and villages. It must be admitted to this one matter, prestige for the Balinese to be recognized occupy highly . As a consequence of life it is very reasonable as long as walking is healthy and not harming others. What about Balinese traditional life? As stated by Customary law Observers Bali, Wayan P. Windia (Bali Post, January 26, 2008 edition), Balinese customs are so strong Shackle is being revised in accordance with the times. When pulled back, how to formulate the concept Kuturan Mpu Tri Pekraman heaven with the Village as the beams, is adapted to the conditions of the people of Bali at the time that nearly all real farmers. When confronted with the current conditions as described above, is still a rigid <i>awig - awig </i>maintained? Indigenous cases every year just happened to make us concerned, is this how the Balinese in his indigenous village? From that cases we can not generalize, but usually as the saying goes "a drop of a stain broke a jug of milk" becomes a thing to be considered. Because after everything that happened at a point where in Bali, people usually will take out the hypothesis that it happened in Bali, Bali and Bali. Name of Bali that have been known throughout the world makes Bali has become "property" of the world. To make the village as a stronghold for Pekraman Bali, its people have changed the paradigm should be revised slightly with awig-awig that do not fit with today's dynamics. Governments of all levels in Bali through the relevant agencies should really dive in the midst of society, continuously monitoring. Pekraman village in Bali is a worthy heritage preserved by taking into account local wisdom without ignoring the times. Common vision and manipulation of all parties is necessary to maintain the traditional Balinese ajegan as cultural heritage only in this world.Dwija Suastanahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06606855004171843370noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4411761846520111294.post-59239204372839103842009-10-31T04:49:00.000-07:002009-11-02T04:56:46.242-08:00One Hope on A RealityDear readers,<br />
<br />
This post hopefully will be an answer of my previous post.Any way, this answer is also a hope, sustainable goals that can be reached by the Balinese community in their life.<br />
<br />
The changes of Balinese life as mentioned earlier, are caused by some reasons that also faced by all people around the world. As a one of world's top tourist destination, have to be admitted that the Balinese life have been changed in all parts of its components. For example, beautiful farming land reverted into buildings, offices, supermarket, etc. Physically, the development that run by the local government has no clear master plan.Bali, as a part of Indonesian province consist of 9 regencies including 1 municipal. Each regency has its own authority. This privilege actually make each regency to develop their potencies. But, in the real field, we saw a very ironic realization. In the name of "otonomi" everyone disobey the rules and do not pay attention on a local genius that exist from hundreds years ago which become a strength pilars of Bali. This local genius simply we can say, the customs, culture, nature and spiritual life of Bali. This strength factors we believe as a spirit of Bali until today and it is motorized by a balancing beautiful philosophy that called Tri Hita Karana. A wonderful way of life of the Balinese since Holy priest from Java, Mpu Kuturan introduced it along with Tri Kahyangan concepts when he unites Bali hundreds years ago. <br />
As a young generation, to be honest, it is not easy for us to keep this high quality life values to be sustained till tomorrow. But, if all components have a same vision without any prejudice and negative perceptions, believed that the main goals to make Bali as an everlasting Island of heaven and the sunshine of the world will not just an imagination. But, the word is still "IF". So, we need to do a real action. How? Please give your constructive comments!!Dwija Suastanahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06606855004171843370noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4411761846520111294.post-44411697245456346022009-10-31T04:47:00.000-07:002009-10-31T07:27:46.003-07:00Bali, Island of Thousands Temple and The FactsAs we know from hundreds years ago, Bali is known as an Island of thousand temple(Hindu temple) and or much much more names that related to it. But nowadays, This Island of God facing a very serious problem with its development. Business investments are growing very fast in Bali. Especially, investment in tourism business. As reported by one of local newspaper, almost 60% lands of Bali already put in different functions such as hotels, restaurants, exodus compounds, factories, etc. The Tri Hita Karana, as a philosophy of life of the Balinese seemed are not implemented correctly by all components (local government, Balinese communities, and business sectors). Surprisingly, the Balinese culture as a main spirit of all Balinese are about to decrease in its quantity. It's proved by a lot of Balinese young generation started to quit their culture and join the western life.Admitted that not all of them but this will be a very serious problem in the nearest future.<br />
<br />
The visitors, let say, foreigners come to visit Bali each year constantly. They come to Bali to see what is the real Bali, the panorama, culture and the Balinese life which inspired by Tri Hita Karana (Parahyangan;a harmony relationships between God and human being, Pawongan; a harmony between human being themselves, and Palemahan; a balance and respectful action to the land and environment). But, as mentioned above, the beauty-religious concepts are not implemented on its path anymore.<br />
<br />
Why? This is actually need a comprehensive answers.Dwija Suastanahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06606855004171843370noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4411761846520111294.post-47947850293991069322009-10-31T04:41:00.000-07:002009-10-31T04:41:18.656-07:00Tri Hita Karana, Facing Threats NowadaysDear readers,<br />
<br />
For the past few days, my articles were full of Politics, Criminals, Regulations Issues and any other things that maybe a little bit hard to understand by some people. Now, let's take a deep breath, we look inside, especially as a Balinese. <br />
As a part of Indonesia, Bali has recognized as one of the best tourist destination in the world. Tourism has developed in Bali for the past 20 years with all its impact and potencies. The idea of materializing a balanced development of Bali has seemingly met a challenge growing ever stronger. Problem being faced - at present and in the future. They have become more complex and complicated. Development in the tourism business, as an industry, Bali can rely upon to contribute of 30 - 36 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). But now it highlighted one of the conflict of interest.<br />
<span class="fullpost"><br />
Within the last 10 years, there has been on the average 1000 hectares of wet-rice field converted into a variety of functions of tourism facilities such as hotels, villas, and restaurants. More distressing has been the fact that many farmers sons have not objected the loss of their farming land. They are not only reluctant to work on the rice fields, but seemingly thye now prefer to be engaged in professions in hotels, art shops, and even as tourist bus drivers instead of planting in rice fields. It has led to another difficulty in making halt to urbanization, while rice field workers should be invited from outside Bali.<br />
<br />
Nowadays, it is very tragic to note that certain individuals have manipulated the traditional community in order to execute certain projects with an aim of taking land into their own hands and to justify it as theirs and righteous. It might be misuse of the traditional balinese community called Desa Pekraman to deliberately change the function of the environment to build a villa. <br />
<br />
Physical and non-physical ( social and culture character) of Bali has in effect already changed, to a frightening degree. Tri Hita Karana, as a philosophy of life of the Balinese, consist of Three main concepts. They are:Parahyangan(Spiritual environment), Pawongan(Social environment) and Palemahan(Natural environment). This three philosophies embodies universal values and represents harmonious and balanced human relationships with spiritual, social and natural environment to achieve spiritual and physical wellbeing(Shambhala).<br />
<br />
Readers,<br />
<br />
I am sure all of you have already know what is happen in Bali now. I really need your constructive feed back, how to make Bali will not lost these high quality values.<br />
